John Luigi Perego, 84, of Lawrenceville, died peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday March 15, 2022 Princeton Medical Center.
Born in Monza, Italy he was a long time resident of Lawrenceville. John proudly served in the United State Marine Corp. After being honorable discharged from the Marines John went on to become a Certified Athletic Trainer and was employed by Princeton University until his retirement in 1997.
John is predeceased by his parents Enrico and Norina Perego and his two half-brothers Gerado and Raymond Fiabane
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Perego, his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Maria Perego, his favorite granddaughter, Caitlyn Perego, his half-sister Dolores Pirone and her husband Vincent and his sister-in-law Donna Fiabane.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
John’s funeral will begin at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, March 29th, 2022 at the funeral home with a funeral procession to Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 820 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940 where services will be held at 10:30 AM with interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to honor John may be made to any veterans association of your choosing, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.st.jude.org or to Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 23 Vreeland Rd #105, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
