Obituary of Margaret M. "Peggy" Haenni

Margaret Mary “Peggy” Haenni, 83, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville. Peggy is a retiree from the Hamilton Twp. Board of Education Gifted & Talented Program, where she was a teacher for many years. She was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann. Some of her hobbies included reading, gardening, cooking and being with family especially on Thanksgiving, but she absolutely enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her beloved grandchildren. Daughter of the late Joseph M. and Mary A. McCarthy, sister of the late Thomas Coyne, wife of the late Harry W. Haenni, Jr.; she is survived by her children and their spouses Matthew and his wife Lisa, Patrick and his wife Kate, and Jessica Bucher and her husband Edward; her grandchildren Jasmine Mustra, Karalyn, Vaughn, Keenan and Marissa Haenni, Bridget and Dylan Bucher; her sister Patricia Bowers; multiple nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA. The viewing for Peggy will be held on Monday morning from 10-11AM in the daily chapel at the church.
