Obituary of Gerald A. Mountford

Gerald A. “Jerry” Mountford, 90, of Mt. Laurel, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice, Mt. Holly. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Ewing Twp., before moving to Mt Laurel 23 years ago. Jerry was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, having proudly served his country with the US Navy. He is a retiree of The Espoma Company, where he was a salesman for many years. Jerry was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of Medford United Methodist Church, and the Medford Masonic Lodge 178. Some of his hobbies included bird carving, painting, and he was an avid golfer. Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Son of the late Thomas A. and Lillian M. Mountford; he is survived by his wife Faye (nee Bate) Mountford; his daughter Lynda Mountford, his son and daughter-in-law David and Robin Mountford, his adoring grandchildren Kelsey and Kaitlyn. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:30AM at Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Attendees are asked to arrive to the church by 10:15AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital www.donate.lovetotherescue.org or Make a Wish Foundation www.wish.org/nj
