Obituary of Phil L. Ciulo

Please share a memory of Phil to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Phil L. “Philly” Ciulo, 78, of Ewing, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2021 with his family by his side. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York - a place he always referred to as “home”. Phil was a Veteran of the US ARMY, where he served his country on active duty in Berlin, Germany. He also enjoyed a successful corporate career at TIAA-CREF in New York City, where he worked for over 35 years. Phil was endearing to everyone who knew him with his big, beautiful smile; his warmth and sense of humor; and his understated deep love for, and devotion to, his family. Phil was a true animal lover (all creatures great and small), and that love transcended his personality. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 40 years, Susan, and his three children: Michele (and her husband Matthew), Jimmy, and Michael (and his wife Justine). Phil will also be lovingly remembered by his beloved sister-in-law Ellie; his dear brother Salvatore, his cherished step-grandson Jared; and his adorable “fur-grandchild”, Frankie. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 11AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to EASEL www.easelnj.org , or to American Cancer Society www.cancer.org or to www.vfw.org
