Obituary of Richard A. Novonglosky

Richard A. Novonglosky, 73, of Toms River, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ where he resided before moving to Toms River. Richard was employed as a Truck Driver with Transco Logistics in New Brunswick, NJ, earning a 1 Million Mile driving award with no accidents. Rich loved to have fun and make the most of life. He enjoyed many hobbies through the years like shopping his favorite markets and yard sales, collecting more Motown and Doo-Wop records than we can count, following car trends at numerous local shows, teaching himself any technology needed to be a top-notch DJ and later accomplishing his own internet radio show. He also enjoyed a number of campgrounds over the years with Chris celebrating summers with his daughters and granddaughters, and met so many wonderful friends along the way. This, of course, made him the best Pop Pop who adored his granddaughters with all his heart. Predeceased by his parents Adam and Josephine Novonglosky; he is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Christine Allen, brother James Novonglosky and wife Beverly, daughters Jennifer Dempsey & husband Charles, Carla Novak & husband Thomas, granddaughters Lauren & Kathryn Novak, Aunts MaryJane Crutchley and Pauline Halasz, Uncle Fred Alessi, nieces Nancy Benson and Noreen Novonglosky, great niece Elizabeth Barbolt, great nephew Nathaniel Barbolt, many, many cousins, as well as close friends, including all of his campground friends he has made over the years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 6:00PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be private. Visitation for Richard will be held on Monday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Please follow all social distancing guidelines and masks must be worn at all times.
