I knew Anna as Sister Nicola, my first grade teacher. She was the kindest and sweetest person. I'll always remember her lending me *Charlotte's Web* and *Stuart Little* to read, and also gifting me a copy of *Heidi* for over the summer--all books that had a huge impact on me. Her joyfulness and love for us was clear. I'm so sorry I did not get to tell her this before she passed away.

To my sweet Aunt Anna
I didn’t get to see you often but whenever I visited my parents in NJ you would stop by to see me and my children. You always had a big smile and a laughter that was infectious. You stayed involved in my life through cards and letters. Your cheerful, positive messages always made me happy. Thank you for always treating my mom, your sister-in-law, with so much kindness, love and respect. It was a blessing to have had you in our lives.
Love, Martha

Aunt Anna,
I miss you like crazy, but you left me with two gifts. 1) In all my memories of you, you're smiling. And 2) You always endulged my writing and were one of the first to encourage me to be passionate about it. And for that, I will be forever grateful.
I used to love our snail mail correspondence, and I'm sorry I fell through after I moved. I still have all the letters you sent me over the years. They continue to encourage me and through them I will always feel your love.

Rest in Peace, Aunt Anna.
When I was a kid, no matter what it was, you always came to the rescue. You spoiled me with attention (and gifts...those expertly wrapped yellow boxes), and you always had my back in life. You were like a Grandmother (or fairy godmother) to me, and nearly every childhood memory I have has you in it--hours spent at the park, walking through the garden, throwing coins in the fountain at the mall, your signature perfume, afternoons in your apartment (and lunchtime which somehow always included my favorite things like chocolate milk). You always celebrated my successes and supported me through my failures. My mom and I joked that you were like my Guardian Angel, and now, I guess you really are.
My heart aches that I wasn't able to speak to you before you passed, but know I was with you from across the miles, just as I know you're with me even right now as I'm writing this. You are missed and you are loved.
xoxo, Jenny

Dear Aunt Anna,
When I needed my family and returned home to New Jersey, you were there for me. You supported me and helped take care of Jenny so she was always surrounded by love. I was able to rebuild my life with your encouragement. My memories of holidays and celebrations will always include you. Your smile and your love. My aunt with the yellow box.
Rest in peace,
Maria
