Obituary of Charles M. Combs

Charles M. Combs, 82, of Allentown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Trenton area resident before moving to Allentown, NJ. Charles is a Vietnam Veteran, having proudly served his country with the US Navy. He is a retiree of the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, where he was a principal civil engineer. Charles was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling on cruise ships/ Predeceased by his parents Russell and Margaret Combs; he is survived by his wife Joan S. Combs, two sons and daughters-in-law Russell and Michelle Combs, and Michael and Susannah Combs, his grandchildren Charles P. Combs, Pierce Q. Combs, Matthew Combs and Charlotte V. Combs and Tessa Molnar Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
