Obituary of Mary A. Southard

Mary A Southard, 84, of Princeton Junction, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a long-time resident of Yardville and Hamilton, before moving to Princeton Junction 18 years ago. Mary was employed as a nurse at St. Francis Medical Center for many years. Some of her hobbies included listening to music, shopping, cooking Italian dishes, trips to the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed. Predeceased by her parents Alfonse and Theresa Ferraro; her husband Walter E. Southard, her daughter Carol McTamney, brothers and sisters: Samuel and Joseph Ferraro, Rose Septak, Florence Skorupa and Antoinette Micai; she is survived by her daughter Susan Southard; three sons Alphonse and Lisa Southard, Samuel and Lynn Southard, and Walter and Olga Southard; nine grandchildren Nicole, Michele and Anthony Povia, Jake, Hannah, Emily, Aaron and Christina Southard, and Raejen Stone; two great-grandchildren Lawrence and Isabelle, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 8:30-10AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Please follow all social distancing guidelines and masks must be worn at all times. Funeral Mass and interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
