Obituary of Will O. Smith

Will O. Smith, Jr., of Ewing, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2020. He was 96.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a longtime resident of Ewing. Will was a Veteran of World War II, having proudly and honorably served his country with the US Army.
Will earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. During his long career, he worked on a number of projects for the federal government, including work with NASA. He owned his own consulting firm, Will Smith Consulting Engineers, in Ewing.
Will was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in West Trenton for many years.
In his younger years, Will enjoyed skiing and was a recreational pilot. He always kept his mind sharp with current affairs, was an avid reader and expert conversationalist, and possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Will so often thought of others before himself. He will be missed by those who knew him.
Predeceased by his parents Will O., Sr. and E.T Smith; he is survived by close friends Elvin and Leticia Sarmiento and their children, Anne Gale, and his Ewing neighbors.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 W. Upper Ferry Rd, Ewing, NJ 08628. The viewing will be held on Monday morning from 9:30-10:30AM at the church.
Interment with military honors will be held at a later date.
Please follow all social distancing guidelines. Masks must be worn at all times.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
