Obituary of John P. Russo, Jr.

John P. Russo, Jr., 72, of Lawrenceville died peacefully at home on Tuesday October 20 surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton, John was a life-long Lawrence Township resident. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School Class of 1966 and a graduate of Rider University Class of 1971. Upon graduation he joined the family business, Lawrenceville Home Improvement Center, where he remained owner until his retirement this past January. Son of the late John P. Russo, Sr. and Suzanne Andries Russo and brother of the late Paul J. Russo; John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diana Taffa Russo; his son James Russo and wife Lisa Tomaszewski and his daughter Stephanie Laudien and her husband Harold. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Mia Laudien, William Russo and Emma Laudien; his sisters Terry Tucker and her husband Thomas and Simone Russo and her partner Karen Baker; his sister-in-law Catherine Russo and several nieces and nephews. John enjoyed weekends in his Poconos home, hiking, world travel, fine dining, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for John on Monday, October 26 at 10 AM at The Church of Saint Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friend will be held on Monday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ Due to funeral restrictions all attendees must wear masks and social distancing along with building capacity limitations will be in force.
