Thomas J. Devine, 73, of Lawrenceville, died Sunday at home.

Born in Trenton, he had resided most of his life in Lawrence Township.

Mr. Devine was a former member of the New Jersey National Guard.

He retired as a technical assistant from Princeton Plasma Physics in 1993 after thirty-seven years of service.

Tom was a member of the Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club, the National Rifle Association, the Institute for Legislative Action, and the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs, Inc.

Son of the late Thomas and Mary Assay Devine and father of the late Keith M. Devine, he is survived by his wife Lynne Nelson Devine and a son Brian Devine. Also surviving are a sister Marie Denice and her husband John, his mother-in-law Amelia Nelson, and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Friday at 10 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Mary�s Cemetery in Hamilton. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Tom�s name be made to a charity of the donor�s choice.
