Obituary of Jey Chou

Ms. Jey Chou peacefully passed away in her sleep at the age of 99, surrounded by her family in her Lawrenceville home on August 12, 2020. Wife of the late Professor Keh-Chin Sun, she is survived by her 5 children -- Shao-Chou Sun, Shao-Nan Sun, Shao-Tang Sun, Shao-Ping Sun and Shao-Min Sun, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Jey was born in Hsinyang City, Henan Province, China on January 6, 1921. She graduated from National Beijing Normal University with a degree in education. She worked for the National Forest Service in Taiwan for over 40 years. Following her retirement, she moved to Delaware with her husband to spend her free time with her children and grandchildren. The entire family celebrated every holiday (Thanksgiving and Christmas especially) and family milestones together. She was always proudest of how close-knit and supportive her entire family was of one another. A private family service will be held on August 17, 2020 at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ.
