Obituary of Jeanette P. Ferrara

Jeanette Rotondo Ferrara, 88, of Lawrenceville NJ passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by her family who had the pleasure of caring for mom in her final days with the wonderful assistance of Ennoble Care Hospice. Wife of the late Lawrence Ferrara, and daughter of the late John and Marion Rotondo, she is survived by her 3 daughters, Sharon Mehedin of Statesville NC, Barbara Nester of Lawrenceville NJ, and Marianne Ferrara and husband Mark Kempisty, of Richboro PA; her 4 grandchildren, Holly Mehedin and her partner Kim Cannella of Long Island NY, Michael Mehedin of NC, Domenica Kempisty of Seoul, South Korea and Martin Kempisty of PA. She will be greatly missed by her fiancé and country dance partner, Chet Pierson, as well as her sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Tony DeLellis of Cape Coral FL and their children Carole Hewitson of Cape Coral and Anthony DeLellis of San Diego. Jeanette was born and raised in Trenton New Jersey where her parents owned Rotondo’s Hardware Store on Princeton Avenue. She graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1949 and would often talk about the school’s annual Sports Night. Upon her marriage, she moved to Lawrenceville. She was an avid reader, developing a deep spiritual strength that carried her through her final days, having been a member of a charismatic prayer group, and a Oneness Blessing Giver, even overcoming her fear of flying to visit Israel. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the chance to visit with them all via Zoom during this pandemic and her granddaughter in Seoul via the internet. Due to gathering restrictions, funeral services and burial will be private.
