Obituary of Beverly Bilbee
Please share a memory of Beverly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Beverly Bilbee, 73, of Ewing died peacefully at home on May 25th.
Born in Trenton Bev was a lifelong Ewing resident. She graduated with the Ewing High School Class of 1964 and went on to receive her Early Childhood Education degree from the College of New Jersey.
Bev was employed by the NJ Lottery Commission for 27 years retiring as an Accountant Grade I in 2002. She began her career in 1975 and with continued education and determination rose the ladder to success with the commission.
Her interests outside of work were many, she loved animals and volunteered for years at APAW West Windsor and always had a houseful of cats and a couple of German Shepherds. She excelled at crocheting shawls and donated nearly 100 to residents of nursing homes and hospital patients over the years. She enjoyed arts and crafts and going to flea markets and auctions to find new treasures.
Most of all she will be remembered as a very generous person who bestowed so many gifts on family at Christmas that it took hours just to pass out presents to everyone.
Daughter of the late John and Marion Schrum Bilbee, Bev is survived by her sister Jacqueline Bilbee Hepp and her husband Wilhelm, a cousin William Sperling of California and numerous friends.
Due to social gathering restrictions funeral services and burial in Ewing Church Cemetery will be private.
To honor Bev memorial contributions may be made to either Animal Placement of the Windsors (APAW) www.apawpets.org or to EASEL, Ewing Animal Shelter www.easelnj.org.
