Richard M. Bogda, 82, of Ewing Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Capital Health Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Roebling, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Ewing. Richard served his country with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He is a retiree of General Motors, where he was employed as a Project Supervisor for many years. Richard was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3756, the Ewing American Legion Post #314 and the Italian American Sportsman Club in Hamilton Twp. Some of his hobbies included golf, hunting, reading about the American Revolution and Civil War and spending time at the Jersey shore with his family. Predeceased by his parents George and Mary Bogda, his brother George Bogda, his son-in-law Paul Brown; he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lucy Bogda; his children and their spouses Maria and Ken Cavanaugh, Michele and Bruce Downie, and Melissa Brown; his grandchildren Collin, Lauren, Elizabeth, Ian, Aidan and Madeline; two sisters Doris Horn and Marita McCue; numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic, funeral services and entombment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
