Obituary of Joan Ann Boris
Please share a memory of Joan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joan Ann Boris, 84, of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2020.
Joan retired from the Mercer County Court System as a Supervising Criminal Court Clerk. In that capacity, she had the honor of being Court Clerk for Judge A. Jerome Moore. After her retirement, she became a “Robin” at Robinson School, a position she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved each and every child and the teachers she was assigned to. All referred to her as “Grandma Joan”.
Predeceased by her parents George and Margaret Boris, sister Alice Buttaci and her daughter Karen Pica-Grenger, her sister Alice Buttaci, former spouse Michael Pica, Jr., she leaves those she loved with all her heart, her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Nancy Pica, her daughters JoAnn Pica and Judith Moore; her grandchildren Danielle Short, Joseph Moore, Michael Pica, Christian and Lexi Cox, Jamie Grenger, William Grenger, Leeann and Logan Sheely, Ashley Grenger and her “sunshine” Gabi Short. Joan leaves her brother-in-law Charles Buttaci, who provided her with more laughs and support that anyone could wish for; niece and nephew Adrienne Buttaci, Chuck and Kelly Buttaci and her “her church family” at Faith Baptist Church.
At Joan’s request, burial was private and there were no calling hours.
