Obituary of Dorothy Theresa Clancy (nee Kemo)

Dorothy Theresa Clancy (nee Kemo), 89, of Trenton, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell. Born in Trenton, NJ, she remained a lifelong resident. Dorothy was employed as a factory worker with General Motors for many years. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Michael’s Church. Some of her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Hannah Kemo; numerous siblings, her spouse John E. Clancy, Jr., her adoptive daughter Mary Seaman; she is survived by her daughter Donna Marie Clancy, her son and daughter-in-law John E. III and Catherine Clancy; her grandchildren Shannon Bentley and her husband Bob, and Erin Deck and her husband Brian; her great grandchildren Josephine, Dylan and McKinney; her siblings Frank Kemo, Margaret Mastromarino, Jean Owens, Helen Pyontek and Richard Kemo and his wife Janet Lee; numerous nieces and nephews; and her K-9 companion Molly. The funeral will begin on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:00AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church 1130 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. The viewing for Dorothy will be held on Thursday evening from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
