Marsha J. Labowicz, 72, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifelong area resident. Marsha was a Parishioner at The Church of St. Ann for many years. She retired from Horizon NJ Health in 2011 after more than ten years as a Case Manager of the special needs population. Prior to that, she spent over 20 years at St. Francis Medical Center where she was the Nurse Manager of the Outpatient Clinic which consisted of 20 specialty clinics. Marsha’s leadership was evident by the many positions she held with the American Nurses Association, including President of Region 4. Her career as an RN epitomized her dedication to caring for others both personally and professionally. Although she never had children of her own, she was a loving and doting aunt and great aunt as well as a dear friend to many. Marsha loved to shop and found great joy in sharing her finds and bargains with friends and family. She touched many lives by sharing the family history, telling stories and jokes, and singing fun songs; as well as by her kindness, generosity and hospitality.
Predeceased by her parents Victor and Genevieve Labowicz and her sister Joyce Labowicz; she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Donald and Kathleen Labowicz; brother-in-law Leon Chavis, nieces Rose Mullings and husband Teddy Mullings, Amanda Gray-McCormick, Alison Labowicz and her fiancé Christophe Dufour, Genevieve Labowicz; grandnieces and grandnephews; aunts and uncles; and many dear friends and cousins.
A Memorial Mass for Marsha will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday morning from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon in the daily chapel at the church.
Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
