Harry William Haenni Jr. of Lawrenceville, passed away at his home on December 14th 2019 at the age of 86. Harry was born in Trenton, NJ to Harry Sr. & Catherine on August 31st, 1933. He graduated from Trenton Catholic High School in 1951. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education from Trenton State College, where he also excelled in basketball. He served in the United States Army as an MP & was honorably discharged in 1962. He worked for the State of New Jersey for over 50 years and retired as an Assistant Chief of Examiners for the Division of Banking & Insurance, where he received an accommodation from the FBI for his involvement in uncovering the largest insurance fraud ring in the history of the state. He enjoyed watching football (don’t bother Dad, Notre Dame is playing), spending time at his beach house, but most of all he cherished his time with his grandchildren. Harry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Mary (Peggy); their three children; Matthew & wife Lisa, Patrick & wife Kate, Jessica (Bucher) & husband Edward; grandchildren, Jasmine (Mustra) 21, Karalyn 10, Vaughn 8, Keenan 7, Marissa 5, Bridget (Bucher) 5, Dylan (Bucher) 2; sister in law Patricia Bowers, brother in law Thomas Coyne & multiple nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on, Monday, December 23, 2019 at 11AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. The viewing for Harry will be held on Monday morning from 10-11AM in the daily chapel at the church. Interment with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 9:30AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. Due to floral restrictions with the cemetery, please consider making a donation to Vineland Veterans Memorial Home 524 North West Boulevard, Vineland, NJ 08360.
