Harry P. Bastedo of Langhorne, PA died on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Crestview Nursing Center in Langhorne. He was born in Trenton and had been a resident of Langhorne for over 20 years. Son of the late Harry P. Bastedo and Margaret (Lynch) Bastedo of Allentown, NJ and the husband of the late Marion M. (DeMatteo)Bastedo, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth Bastedo and Bradley Bastedo, his daughter-in-law Kathryn Bastedo and his grandson Andrew Bastedo all of Upper Southampton. He is also survived by sister-in-law Mary Brigini and several nieces and nephews. He was a humble man who was loved by family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family. Harry graduated from Allentown Regional High School in New Jersey. Following school, he obtained a pilot's license. For over forty years he was employed as a milkman and breadman. In 1991, he retired from Rosenberger's Dairy. He was previously employed by Fisher's Bread, Clover Leaf Dairies and Greenwood Dairies. Harry served the Lord and his community. He was an active member at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ewing, NJ and was previously active at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, NJ and Hope Lutheran in Levittown, PA. For over 20 years, he served as a Republican Committeeman in Middletown Township, PA. The family would like to express their appreciation to the care providers at Crestview Nursing Center for their gracious care over the past three years. The funeral will be on Friday, October 10, at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1125 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church, 1125 Parkside Avenue, Ewing NJ 08618.
