Obituary of Robert Arcadipane
Robert (Arkie) Arcadipane, 68, passed away Thursday, August 1st, 2019 in his home with his family beside him.
He leaves his wife of 37 years, Mary (Mattis) Arcadipane; his son, Robert Arcadipane; his daughter, Ariel Arcadipane; his brother, Angelo Arcadipane; his dutiful brother-in-law Christopher Mattis; and many cousins, brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews and close friends. He Is predeceased by his loving sister Carol Sokolowski.
Born and raised in Trenton, the son of Angelo and Gertrude (Sparella) Arcadipane, he was a longtime resident of Ewing Township where he raised his family. After graduating from Lawrence High School and Rider University, he met his wife Mary Mattis, the love of his life. He was welcomed into her loving family, and she and his, in a blissful ceremony at St. Anthony’s Church that culminated in 37 years of loving and devoted marriage. Bob’s world revolved around his family. He was a selfless man of inestimable pragmatism and many people sought his advice or benefited from his thoughtful nature. He loved to do crosswords and watch Jeopardy with his son and took great pride in his beloved daughter Ariel. He is greeted in Heaven by the second love of his life, his faithful dog, Dede. He truly loved to golf and was a longtime member of Mountain View Golf Club where he worked his retirement dream job after his career at the Mercer County Board of Social Services. Bob was a parishioner of the church of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Ewing, NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church 137 West Upper Ferry Road‚ Trenton‚ N.J. 08628.
Burial will be held privately.
The viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30-11AM at the church. There are no viewing hours at the funeral home.
