Obituary of Kathleen Kelly
Kathleen Kelly, a loving mom, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend, lost her courageous battle to pancreatic cancer peacefully on the evening of Sunday, July 21st, at the age of 58.
She spent the last three years checking off items on her bucket list: traveling, spending time with loved ones, and lustfully celebrating life. Her immediate family, including her beloved son Ryan, her mother Jane, siblings Ned, Mary Beth, Michael, Kimberly, the souls and spirit of Ned Kelly and her sister Lynn and her best friend Kathi, they are eternally grateful for the memories Kathleen provided them during her life and love that never expires.
Kathleen was a graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School. Later she attended Averett University in Virginia to pursue her equestrian talents. By 40, she had already won her first battle with breast cancer. Only a year later, she placed in the top 1% in a 5K out of 5,000 entrees. Professionally, she was a dedicated employee, working in Human Resource Management for the last three decades, most recently with S&P Global in New York City.
A celebration service for Kathleen’s life and tenacious spirit will be held on Friday, July 26th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Poulson and Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ, 08648.
The theme is Palm Beach Casual (wear your pinks or Lilly Pulitzer)!
In lieu of flowers, the Kelly family strongly requests memorial donations to be made in Kathleen’s name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to help support research and continue the fight for others. Donations can be made at: support.pancan.org
