Obituary of Mary Seaman
Mary Seaman, 55, of Columbus, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at home.
Born Ft. Dix, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Columbus. Mary is a retired music teacher from the Hamilton Twp. Board of Education. Mary was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Maple Shade. She was deeply devoted to music and played for Hal Prince when he would visit Philadelphia, played in churches in the Archdiocese of Newark and the Diocese of Trenton, and composed sacred music. Mary was the chairperson for the National Pastoral Musician’s pianist group. She was involved in the Community Theatre with Haddonfield Plays and Players, the Walnut Street Theatre Children Education Program and wrote the Pennsylvania Music Curriculum.
Predeceased by parents Donald & Mary Seaman, her adoptive father, John E. Clancy, Jr.; she is survived by her adoptive mother Dorothy Clancy, adoptive siblings Donna Marie Clancy, and John E. III and his wife Catherine Clancy; her nieces and nephews Shannon Bentley and her husband Bob, Elizabeth, Joseph and Donald Seaman; two brothers Donald J. Seaman and Joseph F. and Seaman and his wife Marybeth; and her faithful K-9 companion Daisy.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 238 East Maple Street, Maple Shade, NJ 08052.
Inurnment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
