Theresa Clare McClain Coats, 90, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Ewing, before moving to Lawrenceville.  Theresa was a graduate of Cathedral High School and was a former member of Our Lady of Good Counsel in West Trenton and Incarnation-St. James Parish in Ewing.  She was a loving and devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by her parents William and Marguerite McClain; her husband Col. Charles E. Coats, US Army, her siblings Marguerite Meyer, Loretta Malcolm her twin sister Clare T. McClain and William McClain; her daughter Clare Ann Cantwell; she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gregory Charles and Holly Coats, her grandchildren Rose and Heather Coats; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Interment will follow at Brigadier General Wm C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, N. Hanover Twp., NJ.

The viewing of Theresa will be held on Tuesday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home
