Obituary of Florence M. McGroarty

Florence M. McGroarty, 91, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at home.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a resident of Lawrence Twp. for 67 years.  Florence retired from the Township of Lawrence, where she was employed as the payroll clerk for many years.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.   She enjoyed crossword puzzles, going to concerts, cooking and going on Facebook to see current photos of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the fun activities they were engaged in.

Predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret Kalafut, her husband James J. McGroarty, her daughter Patricia Davies, her brother Michael Kalafut; she is survived by her son Daniel McGroarty, her daughter Claire Burke; her son-in-law Clarence “Butchie” Davies;  her grandchildren John Mann, Jennifer Rouleau, Sean Davies and his wife Christina, Ryan Davies, Tara Saltzburg and her husband Mark and Danielle McGroarty; her great-grandchildren Juliana Davies, Leo Davies, Trey Saltzburg and Breana Mann; her sisters-in-law Margaret Kalafut and Margaret Resmick; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will follow on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ.

Interment will follow at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Hamilton.

The viewing for Florence will be held on Friday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
