Obituary of Dennis Earl Van Horn
Dennis Earl Van Horn, 66, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at home.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville. Dennis was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1970 and played on the school’s first ever football team. He attended Stockton State College and the United States Marine Corp Officers Candidate School, Quantico, Virginia. Dennis was a Sales Manager for Mattress Firm Company. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed fishing with his son Doug and vacationing in Wildwood and Cape May, New Jersey as well as the Outer Banks in North Carolina with his family.
Predeceased by his mother Joan Lentle Van Horn, his brother Lloyd A. Van Horn, II, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Francis and Jane VaCula; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Edward Kennedy, and dear friend Bruce Tash; he is survived by his wife Nancy, his son Douglas, his sister Susan Van Horn; four nephews Matthew, Christopher and Dennis Van Horn and Kenneth Deptula, Jr., his niece Holly Deptula; great nieces Sky and Hailey Van Horn; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Richard and Sarah VaCula, Frank and Judy VaCula, Paul VaCula, Cathy and Kenneth Deptula, Sr.; his family in England; his dear friends of over 50 years Robert B. Kamping and Donald Szejner and many more dear friends who are too many to list here; his K-9 companion Luna.
Celebration of Life Memorial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
