Lillian Palinkas, 96, of Lawrenceville died peacefully on Tuesday at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton.

Born in Trenton Lillian was a life-long Lawrenceville resident. She began working at D’Agostino’s Men’s Shop before beginning a long career with Brauninger News Service of Trenton where she retired after many years of service. She then decided to continue working at the Afternoon Delight Deli until eventually retiring completely to enjoy her family.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, American Legion Post 458 Ladies Auxiliary, Lawrence Township Senior’s Club, the Colonial Sportman’s Club and the Lawrence Homemakers Club.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Julia D’Agostino Petrone, sister of the late William Petrone and wife of the late Bernard Palinkas; she is survived by her daughter Lisa Vinch and her husband Charles; her grandchildren, Charles A. Vinch and his wife Daiane, Jennifer Vinch and Gina Vinch along with her great-granddaughter Livia Vinch.

Funeral services for Lillian will be held on Friday, May 17th  at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Friday from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
