Obituary of Dennis J. Yuhasz, Sr.
Dennis J. Yuhasz, 70, of Ewing, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ.
Dennis graduated from John F. Kennedy High School 1967, Iselin NJ. Mr. Yuhasz served in the United States Marine Corp/Infantry. He served in Vietnam where he sustained a gunshot to the neck. He was a recipient of the “Purple Heart” among other medals and an Honorable Discharge. Mr. Yuhasz left the military as a Corporal.
Mr. Yuhasz worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb in NJ for many years as well as Princeton University. Dennis resided in Ewing NJ and was a Past Commander and current member of VFW Post#3022 in Lawrenceville NJ. He was also a member of the American Legion Post#414 in Lawrenceville. Dennis loved mingling with other veterans at events, picnics, and the canteen. Mr. Yuhasz loved traveling. He especially enjoyed Wildwood Beach NJ. He enjoyed cruises, Las Vegas, going to the movies, he loved the movie “The Mule, dining out, listening to music, reading, Dennis was really interested in UFO shows and YouTube videos. He was a HUGE NY Mets and NY Giants fan.
Mr. Yuhasz is survived by his Sister Linda Nebus, his daughter Rachel and son-in-law Thomas G. Watlington III, his son Dennis J. Yuhasz Jr. and daughter in law Amanda Yuhasz, his lifelong family friend he considered a son Anthony Hendrickson, and his close friend Clarice Barnett and her family of Ewing NJ.
A memorial gathering with Marine Corps. Honors and services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5-6PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
