Obituary of Rudolf J Zdanowicz
Rudolf J. Zdanowicz, 96, of Ewing died peacefully on Sunday at Capital Health Medical Center-Hopewell.
Born in Trenton, Rudolf was a lifelong area resident. He retired after many years of devoted service from the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation, where he was employed as an electrical mechanic.
Rudolf was a U.S. Marine veteran of WW II and was a member of the Marine Corp League of Trenton and the Catholic War Veterans. He also was a past president of the local union chapter of the AFSME.
Son of the late Stanislaus “Stanley” and Stanislawa “Stella” Wisniewska Zdanowicz, husband of the late Irene Turek Zdanowicz and Magdalene Mikula Zdanowicz; brother of the late Emma Lotys, Eleanor Zdanowicz, Michaline Zdanowicz, Joan Notaro, Stanley Zdanowicz, Donald Zdanowicz, Bernard Zdanowicz, S.D.B. and Martin Zdanowicz; he is survived by his son, Randy Correll and his wife Eileen; his granddaughters, Taryn Correll and Molly Knabel and her husband Matthew, two great-grandaughters; his sister Theresa Ciosek; his two brothers and sister-in-law, Clifford Zdanowicz and Joseph Zdanowicz and his wife Ginny and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Trenton. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hamilton.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Memorial contributions in Rudolf’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
