Obituary of Sheila Angeloni MacDonald
Sheila Angeloni MacDonald, 73, of Lawrence Township, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on March 30, 2019 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born on July 14, 1945 in Trenton to Dominic Angeloni of Ewing Township and the late Violet Lupariello Angeloni. She is predeceased by a sister, the late Donna Angeloni. Sheila was married to the late Harold MacDonald for 21 years. She was a 1963 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 1967 and obtained her Master’s Degree in 1971 from The College of New Jersey. Sheila’s life work centered around the education of young children. She worked for 21 years as an elementary school teacher and for 19 years as an administrator in elementary education. She spent the majority of her administrative years as principal of Eldridge Park Elementary School. She was an active member of The Church of St. Ann and a former member of the Trenton Country Club. Those closest to Sheila knew that her second career was in shopping for anything and everything. In addition to being a generous gift giver, she was an avid reader and beach-goer. She greatly enjoyed needlepoint crafting, particularly making heirlooms for her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her father, Dominic Angeloni; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Robert de Flesco, Jr. of Delaware Township; niece Kimberly de Flesco of Manhattan; niece Lindsay de Flesco and her husband, Patrick Casey, of Hillsborough; nephew Robert de Flesco III and his wife, Sarah, of Weston, FL; great-nieces and great-nephews Brooke, Annika and Ryan Casey and Evelyn and Robert de Flesco IV; as well as many cousins and countless friends who gave her much joy.
The funeral for Sheila will begin on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 10AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Twp.
The viewing for Sheila will be on Wednesday morning from 8:00-10:00AM at the funeral home.
