Obituary of Jeffrey W. Lenarski
Jeffrey W. Lenarski, 58, of Ewing, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong Ewing resident. Jeffrey was employed for 38 years with the Ewing Township Division of Fire as a career firefighter, fire captain, and officer in charge of the department. He was Past Chief and Life Member of Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Company, Life Member of Slackwood Volunteer Fire Company, Life Member of the New Jersey State Fireman’s Association, Life Member of the Mercer County Fireman’s Association, and was current Treasurer of Prospect Heights Fireman’s Relief Association as well as other fire service organizations. Jeffrey was always up to date on the newest fire safety technology and was passionate about instilling the younger generation of its value and how it can save lives. Some of his hobbies included attending the annual fireman’s convention in Wildwood, NASCAR and listening to country music. Jeffrey was loving and devoted to his family, serving his community and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Dolores Lenarski, his father-in-law Charles Loomer; he is survived by his wife Catherine Lenarski, his daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Sean Karhan, his son Joseph Lenarski; two brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph “Jay” and Judy Lenarski and Mark and Jackee Lenarski; his sister and brother-in-law Christine and Robert Evans; his aunt Carol Witzel; his mother-in-law Jeanne Loomer; his brother-in-law Peter Loomer; several nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends and fire service colleagues.
Funeral services will be held for Jeffrey on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 10AM at Central: A-Christ Centered Church 2015 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08618.
Interment will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing Twp.
The viewing for Jeffrey will be held on Thursday afternoon from 1-3PM and 5-8PM and again on Friday morning from 9-10AM at the church.
