Mary H. (Marie) Cleary, 83, of Ewing died peacefully on Saturday at Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell.

Born in West Trenton, Marie was an area resident most of her life. She also resided in Sanford, North Carolina for 10 years before moving back to Ewing in 2014.

Marie was a retired purchasing agent for the Homasote Company where she was employed for 40 years. She was a member of the Slackwood Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her late husband.

Daughter of the late Domenick and Ida (Muscente) DiFrancesco, wife of the late Joseph H. Cleary, sister of the late Frank DeFrancesco and sister-in-law of the late Thomas Smires she is survived by her sisters; Christina Smires, Arlene Butkosky and her husband George; her brother Dominick DeFrancesco, Jr., and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Entombment will follow in the Ewing Cemetery Mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday in the daily chapel at the church from 9:30 AM until time of Mass.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Slackwood Vol. Fire Co., 21 Slack Ave., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
