Obituary of Richard A. DePaola, Sr.

Richard A. DePaola, Sr., 89 of Lawrenceville, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a former resident of Yardley and Ewing before moving to Lawrenceville eight years ago.  Richard was a Veteran who honorably served his country with the US Navy.  In 1954, Richard founded RA DePaola Real Estate and Insurance Company in Ewing.  He was a Parishioner at The Church of St. Ann.  Richard was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Predeceased by his parents Nicholas Sr. and Carmella DePaola and his siblings Mary, Leonard, Antoinette, Edward, Jessie, Jean, Joyce and Janice; he is survived by his wife Grace DePaola; his children and their spouses Nicholas and Tina DePaola, Diane and Robert Notta Richard A. Jr., and Patricia DePaola, and David and Alba DePaola; his grandchildren Matthew Notta and his wife Jessica, Michael Notta, David, 2d Lt. Richard A., III, Jacob and Daniel DePaola,; his sister and brother-in-law Veronica and Harold Chritiff; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will begin on Tuesday morning at 9AM at Poulson & Van Hise 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.  Monsignor Casimir Ladzinski will officiate.

Interment will follow at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.

The viewing for Richard will be held on Monday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
