Obituary of Vojtech Lakomcik

Vojtech Lakomcik, 68, of Ringoes, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Twp., NJ.

Born and raised in Levice-Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late Vojtech And Kvetoslava Lakomcik.

Vojtech moved to the US in 1968 and for the past 30+ years resided in Ringoes NJ, where he and his wife raised their three children. He was a master craftsman having retired from 3M Corporation in Flemington, NJ.

His greatest joy in life was spending time with his loving family, especially being a Grandfather (Pop-Pop). He spoke five different languages in addition to his other passions which included traveling, fishing, wild boar hunting, family camping, history, westerns, dancing and a variety of music. His favorite vacation destinations with his family were Niagara Falls, Lake George and Myrtle Beach.

He’s survived by his loving Wife, Irene Lakomcik; his Children, David Lakomcik, Nicholas Lakomcik and his wife Anna, and Vicky Ewing and her husband Justin along with 9 cherished grandchildren.

Vojtech’s funeral will begin on Thursday at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638.

Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Twp.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
