Obituary of Elisabeta Cecan

Elisabeta Cecan, 95, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Merwick Care and Rehabilitation Center, Plainsboro.

Born in Romania, she was a former resident of Princeton, before moving to Lawrenceville 4 years ago.  Elisabeta was a homemaker, raising her only son, before she became an accountant.  She was a member of St. Basil Romanian Catholic Church in Trenton.  Elisabeta was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Predeceased by her parents Gheorghe and Elena Zamfirescu, her husband Nicolae Cecan; she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Dorin and Liliana Cecan; her grandchildren Doana Guerrero, Loriana Mitchell and Nicolae Eugen Cecan.

Funeral services will follow on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.  Very Reverend George David will officiate.

Interment will follow at St. Basil’s Cemetery, Hamilton.

The viewing will be held on Monday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
