Obituary of C. Edward DeLoca, III

C. Edward DeLoca, III passed away January 10, 2019 at the age of 65. Ed was born June 7, 1953 in Queens New York to Cornelius Edward DeLoca Jr. (Connie) and Ann (Friel) DeLoca.  He was a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 35 years.

Ed Graduated from Iona College in 1975 and began his career at IBM, where he met his loving wife of the past 37 years, Denise (Boron) DeLoca. He spent his entire career in the technology field, which he loved, most notably over a decade with AT&T here in New Jersey.

His loving marriage to Denise also gave them the gift of daughter Nicole Marie DeLoca (Nikki) who also resides in Lawrenceville.  Ed loved their family dogs, including devoted companion “Cooper” and Grandpup “Coda”.

Ed was the eldest of close-knit siblings; two sisters, Cathy Schneider (David) of Lawrenceville, Jeanne (Roger) Rogalin of Chatham, NJ, and two brothers, Thomas DeLoca (Eileen) of Ridgewood, NJ, and Matthew DeLoca (Julie) of Short Hills, NJ. He will also be missed by his extended family, Denise’s siblings Thomas Boron (Patty), Gregory Boron (Suzanne), and Eileen Haley (Thomas), and numerous adored nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Ed’s passions included his beloved Giants and Yankees, and admiring, driving and repairing dozens of cars over the years.  He truly cherished his vintage 1970 Honda CB750 motorcycle.  Ed loved fixing anything and everything. He was truly gifted in that way.  Ed tirelessly dressed as Santa for over 15 years at preschools and assisted living facilities.

Calling hours will be Sunday January 13th from 3 to 6 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. There will be no calling hours Monday at the funeral home prior to mass.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 14th at 10am at the Church of Saint Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, New Jersey 08648.

Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.
