Obituary of Nello H. Maurizi

Nello H. Maurizi, 95, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Nello was a lifelong Trenton resident before moving to Lawrenceville 17 years ago.  Nello was a Veterans of WWII, having proudly and honorably served his country with the US Army.  He is a retiree of Roller Bearing in West Trenton, where he was employed as a Tool & Dye Make for many years.  Some of his hobbies included bowling, trips to Atlantic City and being able to put a smile on someone’s face at any given moment.  He was a member of the Lawrence Senior Center.  He was a loving and devoted patriotic man who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Predeceased by his parents Enrico and Marta Maurizi, his wife Fortunato Maurizi, he is survived by his companion Helen “Lorraine” Knobl; her children John Knobl, Kris Palombo; one niece and her husband Jillian and Richard Smith, one nephew; several “grandchildren” and “great grandchildren “who he adored.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton.

The viewing for Nello will be held on Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00AM at the funeral home.
