Obituary of Mildred "Pug" Garruba
Mildred “Pug” Garruba, 87, of Robbinsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Hamilton, NJ.
Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, she was a resident of Robbinsville for 48 years. Mildred retired from Michell-Bissell Co., where she worked on the production line. She was a parishioner at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church for many years. Some of her hobbies included playing cards, trips to Atlantic City and watching New York Yankees baseball.
Predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary DeMurzio; eight siblings, her son-in-law Keith Roughgarden, her husband Joseph L. Garruba; she is survived by her daughter Christine Roughgarden; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Louis and Mary Garruba and James and Mary Garruba; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will begin on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 10AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
Relatives and friends can call on Tuesday morning from 9-10AM at the funeral home.
