Obituary of Bernadette Taranowicz Bac
Bernadette Taranowicz Bac, 70, of Lawrenceville went to her eternal rest on August 27, 2018 at Compassionate Care at RWJ University Hospital of Hamilton surrounded by her loving family following a courageous yearlong battle with melanoma.
Born in Trenton, Bernadette lived her entire life in Lawrence Township. A graduate of St. Hedwig’s and Notre Dame High School, class of ‘66, she later went on to graduate as an LPN from Trenton Vocational Technical School. She was employed at St. Francis Hospital and later at Helene Fuld Hospital (Capital Health). She was an excellent nurse and gave her patients the best of care. Bernadette’s passion in life continued as caregiver. She cared for her family and always made sure that they received the best when it came to health. But her true legacy was in the fact that nothing was impossible. When she saw a need, she knew that with God’s help, anything could be accomplished. She took charge and made sure that things got done. With Bernadette, life was always an adventure. Bernadette enjoyed listening to all types of music, her Sunday rides, which always included dinner, through Bucks County, to Peddlers Village, especially at festival times, Pt. Pleasant, Wildwood, the Shrine at Our Lady of Czestochowa and the Shrine of St Katherine Drexel. The family would also like to thank the staff of the RWJ Compassionate Care unit for their utmost care of Bernadette in her final days.
Preceded by her parents, Charles and Dorine Taranowicz, Bernadette is survived by her husband of almost 47 years, Gregory, her daughter, Allison and son in law, Patrick Wisnom. The joys of her life, grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara (Walter) Czepiga, Patricia (Richard) Smith and Catherine (Michael) Vasil, aunts Theresa Tataranowicz, Ann Guagliardo and uncles Anthony Tataranowicz and Russell Kroeger, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews as well as many friends and acquaintances.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday Aug. 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, 1253 Lawrence Rd. Lawrenceville NJ, 08648.
Burial will follow in the St. Hedwig’s Cemetery on Eggerts Crossing Rd., Ewing Twp.
Family and friends may call for Bernadette on Thursday morning from 9-11AM at the church.
