Obituary of Joan P. Bailey

Joan P. Bailey, 82, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Hamilton with her family by her side.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifelong area resident.  Joan is a retiree of the Lawrence Township Board of Education, where she worked in Special Services.  The Bailey family previously owned Bailey’s Architectural Millwork in Lawrenceville.  Some of her hobbies included fishing and traveling around the country in their motorhome.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed. 

Predeceased by her parents William and Marian Griggs, her sister Peggy S. Campbell, her husband William R. Bailey; she is survived by her children and their spouses Mark and Diane Bailey, Donna and Reid Sullivan and Diane and Richard Ferrari; her grandchildren Kerri and Kristin Sullivan; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will begin on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Entombment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.

The viewing for Joan will be held on Monday morning from 10AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
