Obituary of Restituta "Ida" Adriani
Restituta (Ida) DiMeglio Adriani, 76, of Lawrenceville passed away July 6, 2018. She was born in Barano D’Ischia providence of Naples, Italy, daughter to the late Domenico and Carmela Di Meglio. In 1965 she married Santé Adriani, gave birth to two beautiful children Mauro Adriani and Tiziana Adriani Johnston and they immigrated to the US in May 1972. Ida loved going to Atlantic City and the beach, watching Ballando con le stele (Italy’s dancing with the stars), walking her nieces dog Tanner, dancing, singing, but most of all spending time with her family and cooking (especially her specialty pasta e fagioli.)
She is survived by her loving husband Sante Adriani of 53 years, her son and daughters-in-law Mauro and Christina Adriani and Jamie Madorma, her daughter and son-in-law Tiziana and Charlie Johnston, her grandchildren Charlie, Nicole, Brandon, Eileen, and Vanessa, her very special niece, Maria Parrella Turco and husband Adam and children Mia & Adison. She was loved by her seven siblings and their spouses including; her late brother Raffaele and sister in law Cristina DiMeglio, brother Mario & the late Rosetta DiMeglio, brother Luigi and Lina DiMeglio, sister Nancy DiMeglio, sister Anna and Emilio D’Abundo, brother Giorgio and Francesca DiMeglio, brother Frank and Carol DiMeglio, and many nieces and nephews.
Ida is remembered by all as the most big -hearted woman who touched everyone she met with immediate love. She always had dreams of flying through the skies as free as a bird. She is now finally free to sore & fly through the skies of heaven!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 11 at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Entombment will follow in the Ewing Church Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville and again on Wednesday beginning at 10 AM in the daily chapel at the Church of St. Ann.
