Obituary of Florence Skorupa

Florence Skorupa, 91, of Robbinsville and formerly of Lawrenceville died peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton surrounded by her family.

Born in Trenton, Florence resided in Lawrenceville for 55 years before moving to Rose Hill in Robbinsville five years ago. She had a passion for crocheting, knitting and sewing but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late Alfonse and Theresa Carlisi Ferraro, wife of the late Edward J. Skorupa, mother of the late Eleanor M. Downs and sister of the late Samuel and Joseph Ferraro, Rose Septak and Antoinette Micai, Florence is survived by her children, Mary Elliott and her husband Mel, Janet Ciccone-Szejner and her husband Robert and Robert E. Skorupa and his wife Judy; her son-in-law Jeffrey Downs; her grandchildren,Jennifer Elliott, Michael Elliott, Christopher Ciccone and his fiancé Andrea St. Pierre, Daniel Ciccone and his wife Lisa, Stephanie Downs, Morgan Downs, Jason Skorupa, Michael Skorupa and wife Jennifer, Todd Skorupa, and Kimberly Skorupa; also surviving are her great-grandchildren Madison and Michael Skorupa, her sister Mary Southard and many nieces and nephews.

Florence’s funeral will begin on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Township.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home
