Obituary of Evelyn V. Brereton

Evelyn V. Brereton, 62, of Ewing, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

Born in Summit, NJ, she was raised in East Brunswick, resided in Piscataway before moving to Ewing Twp. 31 years ago.  Evelyn earned her PhD from Cook College, Rutgers University.  She is a retired Food Scientist, having been employed with Rutgers University for many years.  Evelyn was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann.  Some of her hobbies included spending time with family, research and reading.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Daughter of the late Frank Vaccaro; she is survived by her husband Laurence Brereton; her children Gerard and Alexandria Brereton; her mother Clara Vaccaro; five sisters and their husbands Carolyn and Richard Comollo, Marilyn and Juergen Link, Valerie and Thomas Lonzi, Nancy and Hal Petrimoulx and Joan and Kelly Wheaton; several nieces, nephews aunts and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. There will be no calling hours.  Funeral attendees are asked to arrive to the church no later then 9:45AM at the church.

Inurnment will follow at Ewing Cemetery.
