Obituary of Stanley Grygon
Stanley Grygon, 86, of Ewing died peacefully on Friday at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville.
Born in Trenton, Stanley was a resident of Ewing for 53 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and the School of Industrial Arts in Trenton and received his degree in drafting. He was an employee for 35 years at the Naval Air Propulsion Center in Ewing and retired in 1991 as a drafting branch supervisor. In addition he taught drafting at Mercer County Community College for 25 years. Stanley was a member of the American Legion Post #458, the Knights of Columbus Council #7000 and was also an avid gardener.
Son of the late Vincent and Mary Grygon and brother of the late Vincent Grygon he is survived by his wife Mary Ann; his children, Christine and her husband Michael, Carol and her husband Tod, and Mark and his wife Lauri. Also surviving are his grandchildren Jack and Cooper; his sisters, Jean Sierputowski and Helen Fedor and her husband George and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Thursday from 5-8 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Knights of Columbus will conduct services at 7 PM
There will be no additional calling at the funeral home prior to mass on Friday morning.
Due to cemetery restrictions on flowers the family would prefer in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Stanley’s name to St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit at Morris Hall, 1 Bishops’ Drive, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648
