Obituary of Consuelo Coppola
Consuelo Coppola (nee Correa Nieto), a long-time resident of Lawrenceville, died on May 2, 2018 after a brief illness.
She was born on July 6, 1923 in Mexico City. After graduating from the University of Mexico with a degree in law, she practiced law for several years in her family’s firm. She married Emery Coppola in 1952 and settled in the United States, first in Haddonfield, New Jersey and then in Lawrenceville. She loved music, poetry and her three dogs. In her later years, she was cared for by her son Emery Coppola and her loving caretaker Teresa Prusinska.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, and is survived by her four children, Anna Lohbauer (Mark) of Delair, NJ, Sandra Coppola (Douglas Flaum) of Short Hills, NJ, Graciela Coppola (Kristopher Redmann) of Mandeville, LA, and Emery Coppola (Theresa Marder) of Lawrenceville, as well as nine grandchildren (Erica, Ryan, Scott and Kirk Lohbauer; Hannah, Benjamin and Alexander Flaum; and Clare and Dylan Redmann), and two great grandchildren.
Funeral serices were held privately and at the convenience of the family.
