Doug was born on April 27, 1961 in Trenton and passed away on July 30, 2008 with his loving family by his side after a painful, four month battle with liver cancer. Doug lived in Ewing until he was nine and then moved to Lawrence for the remainder of his life. Doug was educated in the Lawrence Twp. School District. At a young age, he worked construction with several different contractors. He was employed with Young's Rubber/ Carter Wallace in Trenton for 16 years, and then with Firmenich in Plainsboro for 9 years. He was the owner of D & D Lawn Service of Lawrence serving Mercer County. Doug was an avid NASCAR fan, routing for Jeff Gordon, and also was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Doug loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and went camping every chance he could. He was a member of the NJ Beach Buggy Association and spent weekends at Island Beach State Park NJ with his friends. Doug also coached soccer and t-ball for Lawrence Twp. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Debbie Golembeski Dow, his daughters; Carrie Palombi of Hamilton, Stephanie Dow, at home, and her boyfriend Brian Cash, and Jamie Dow at home, and her boyfriend Adam Weiss, his mother Ruth N. Dow of Clearwater, FL, his brother, Ken Scott and his wife Kathy of Florence, his sister, Lori Freyhof and her husband Bill of Churchville, PA, his mother-in-law, Judy Golembeski of Manchester, his brother-in-law, Gary Golembeski and his wife Leola of Westville, his nieces and nephews; Katie, David, Laura, and Anna Freyhof and Melissa and Matthew Golembeski and several aunts uncles and cousins. Doug was predeceased by his father, Frank B. Dow and his father-in-law, Alex ""Corky"" Golembeski. He is also survived by his wonderful supportive friends and his favorite chocolate lab, Buddy. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Dow Family Fund, 2172 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648
