Robert E. Humes, Jr., 48, of Lawrenceville passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell.
Born in Brooklyn, he was a former resident of Hamilton, before moving to Lawrenceville more than 11 years ago. Robert was a 1988 graduate of Hopewell Valley High School. He was employed as a school bus driver with First Student of South Brunswick for many years. Robert was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed bowling and was a NASCAR fan who followed #48 Jimmie Johnson. He was a loving father, son, brother, nephew and grandson who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving daughter Alyssa Humes; his mother Joann Barry; his father and step-mother Robert E. and Nancy Humes, Sr.; his sister and brother-in-law Christine and Brian Kiely; his paternal grandmother Mildred Humes; his nieces and nephews Matthew, John and Jenna Kiely and Paige and Payton Yuhasz; his step-sister and her husband Amanda and Dennis Yuhasz; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will be offered on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthews Episcopal Church 300 South Main Street, Pennington, NJ 08534.
Interment will follow at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing Twp.
The viewing for Robert will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 5-8PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
