I was so blessed to meet the Heffern family in 1985. My love and prayers are with you at this time of grief. Mrs. Heffern went out of her comfort zone by openning not only her home but her heart to a foreigner. She made it possible for my sister to live far beyond expectation.I will always be very thanksful to all of you. Her graciousness and so many wonderful memories will keep her living within me. May the promises of God for eternal life give you peace, comfort and hope.

I send my sincerest condolences on the death of your beloved mother, Mary-Kate. I knew Mary-Kate through the Stuart First Friday gatherings. She began each of our meetings with much enthusiasm and insightful reflection. Her sense of humor was something I aspire to. Sister Retsy would have been proud of the legacy she left with Mary Kate at the helm. I am proud to have known her.

Mary-Kate will always be in our prayers. Her warmth, her memories, and her sparkling smile lit up out meetings. It won't be the same without her.

Prayers for the family's loss. I knew her from McCosh Infirmary where I worked for three years fr 1985-1988, then moved to another department. We had many conversations about the Lord when on our breaks. She was a lovely, kind and sincere individual. RIP, peace and comfort to her family. Martha
