Obituary of Americo "Rick" D'Auria

Americo “Rick” D’Auria, 85, of Lawrenceville passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. Born in Naples, Italy he formerly resided in Pearl River, New York before moving to Lawrenceville in 2004. He was a retired typesetter for several publications before retiring from the Hudson Dispatch Newspaper in Jersey City. He was a proud Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and volunteered for a time with Lawrence Township Meals-On-Wheels program. Son of the late Carmine and Elena Cardone D’Auria he is survived by his two daughters, Alison Benedickson and her husband Scott and Elena Chiaravallo and her husband Larry; also surviving are his 3 grandchildren, Scott Benedickson, Carissa Benedickson and Michael Chiaravallo, Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Military Honors will take place at 4:30PM during the afternoon visitation and funeral services will be held at 7:30PM during the evening hours. Burial will be private.
