Daniel J. “Danny” Dziura, 84, of Lawrenceville, after fighting brain cancer for 3 years, died peacefully at home on Wednesday. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, Daniel was a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 57 years. He retired in 2002 as a sales manager with Air X of Trenton and formerly had been a plant manager with John Hancock Redwood Furniture Company. Daniel was a proud veteran of the Korean War having served with the Seabees in the U.S. Navy and Navel Reserves. He was a member of North Trenton American Legion Post #458 and was a past commander at the post. He was a former member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church and was an active member in the parish of the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. He served as a Eucharistic Minister, an usher and sang in the resurrection choir. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #7000 and was a Past Grand Knight. Daniel also served on the Golf Tournament Committee, the Fish Fry Fundraiser Committee and delivered food to the Mt. Carmel Guild. He was a Past President of the Trenton Traffic Club, a member of the Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity and the NEISC Club. Daniel was an avid bowler during his days on the St. Hedwig Bowling Team and was proud of rolling a 299 game while a member of the Holy Name Bowling League. He also enjoyed crabbing at the “Jersey” shore and along with his wife restored and refinished Flexible Flyer sleds often times donating them to charity auctions for fundraising and was once featured in an article in the Trenton Times for his work. Together he and his wife enjoyed traveling the world having visited 30 countries. Son of the late John and Sylvia Zablocki Dziura, Daniel is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Kramarz Dziura; his two sons, Michael and his wife Cynthia, and Kevin and Carol Cucuzza; his grandchildren, Keith and his wife Gabrielle Dziura, Amy Dziura, Morgan Dziura and Ian Dziura; his sister-in-law, Regina Klosinski and her husband Charles; many nieces and nephews, and his aide Andrea Francois. A very special “Thank You” to Compassionate Care Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing. Visitation for Daniel will be on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and on Tuesday from 9:15 to 9:45 AM at the church. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
